Accomodation

Fuchsia Cottage was built in a traditional style and the front half is the original cottage, which has been restored to be as true to its original form as possible while making it comfortable.  There are two bedrooms in this part of the cottage, one with double bed and ensuite while the other bedroom is equipped with twin beds.  The back half of the cottage is newly constructed and consists of a large kitchen/dining room and a new bedroom with a double and a single bed, which is also ensuite.  All together there are three full modern bathrooms with showers.  The bedrooms all have wardrobes.  The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher.  There is also a washer and dryer.

The original cottage features a central sitting room with a hearth and mantle.  This room is a cozy sitting area containing a traditional Irish dresser and the original cottage dining table.  Other furnishings have been added to enhance the comfort of your stay in Fuchsia Cottage such as TV with DVD player.

Step outside and there is an old stonewall that is overgrown with fuchsia and a quaint footpath and garden gate.  Views of the Minaun Cliffs and the Keel Strand are a feature of the front of the cottage.  Villagers, the local bus and sheep will pass by if you care to sit outside and take in the sea air.

The cottage is self-catering.  However, there are restaurants in the Village and on the island if you do not want to go all the way with cooking.  Linen and towels are supplied.
